MAXECO PARIS carries out life cycle assessments (LCA) of your new buildings under RE2020, against the 2025 and 2028 thresholds.
We work from all-trades quantity take-offs, either produced by us or provided by your teams. When we also carry out the cost estimate, the cost and environmental studies are based on the same quantities and stay consistent.
Our method
- Importing quantities into VIZCAB: quantities are extracted from the take-offs, then sorted by thermal zone and by RE2020 sub-package before import. We also enter the Construction site contributor: earthworks, removal of spoil and construction period.
- Selecting and completing environmental data sheets: we select the EPDs (FDES and PEP) from the INIES database that match the products specified in the technical specifications, or a default environmental dataset where this is more appropriate. Where necessary, we create data sheets tailored to the project.
- Threshold checks: we calculate the Ic construction indicator and check that it meets the regulatory thresholds.
- Optimisation options: we identify the highest-emitting items and propose solutions to reduce the carbon impact, such as low-carbon concrete.
- Deliverables: we provide a summary report and the RSEE (standardised energy and environmental study summary) in XML and PDF formats, ready for submission.
